How to Save Your Failing Marriage - One Helpful Hint

Saving a failing marriage is hard work. It is possibly one of the most difficult thing you will ever experience in life in fact so getting all the help you can is essential to making it work!  Therefore, to save your failing marriage there are a few things you really need to know and here is one that is of vital important to the longevity of your marriage:

Stop Retaliating!

When a marriage is on the rocks things get heated. Yelling matches or cold snipes are common as both spouses compete to have the last word. In retaliation we try to feel we are hurting our partner as much as they are hurting us. A terrible game of tit for tat that benefits no-one and drives your marriage further towards the point of no return where no one can forget or forgive what was said.

This is why you need to stop the retaliation. Just end it. This can be hard when barbed words spring forth from your partners mouth and wound you deeply but you have to be the bigger person. You will find that not retaliating might hurt, but your partner will not continue the attacks if you do not react back. You will therefore have to take some hurt and just wear it and not let it fester ... let it go.

In doing this you can stop the aggression and be able to talk on a more normal and reasonable level about your problems and actually find ways to solve them without the entire thing being derailed! End that tit for tat and get your marriage back!
